A Legacy of Excellence Since 1977
Our Story
South Shore Veterinary Hospital was established in 1977 by Drs. Tom and Jan Mehlhoff, who had a vision of bringing exceptional diagnostic and surgical care to a growing community. From the very beginning, the hospital was built on a foundation of clinical excellence and a deep commitment to patient care.
Dr. Tom’s expertise in clinical pathology and Dr. Jan’s surgical skill helped shape the practice during its early years. In 1991, Drs. Dave and Ann Enright joined the hospital as partners, bringing advanced training from The Animal Medical Center in New York City and further expanding the hospital’s capabilities—especially in surgery.
Through every stage of growth, one thing has remained constant: a dedication to building meaningful relationships and providing care that goes beyond treating symptoms—we care for the whole patient.
